Senior Policy & Public Affairs Advisor

The Senior Policy & Public Affairs Advisor will be required to assist in the review and analysis of issues as relevant to persons with disabilities in Ireland, and the development of practical policy advice on this basis. In the first instance, the post-holder may be focused on work related to specific policy areas regarding justice matters and international instruments, including the implementation of UNCRPD in Ireland, while being flexible and available to contribute to or take on other policy areas as organisational needs may require.

The Officer will be required to foster and develop a number of key relationships with colleagues and personnel from a range of government departments and agencies and representative organisations of people with disabilities. A high degree of flexibility and creativity will be required. Strong analytical, written and oral communication and project management skills are among the requirements for this role.
