Anti-Bullying Research Project Report
Preventing bullying of people with intellectual disabilities
Research on experiences of bullying by people with intellectual disabilities has informed the production of a practical easy-to-read guide aimed at this audience.
This project was funded by the National Disability Authority under its Research Promotion Grant scheme, and completed in 2012. The project was undertaken by the National Institute of Intellectual Disability, in Trinity College Dublin. Views expressed in the two reports are those of the researchers.
This work drew both on the evidence in the research literature, and on three focus groups held with people with intellectual disabilities and other key people, to explore the experiences of those who are bullied.
