2015 Report on Compliance with Part 5 of the Disability Act on the Employment of People with Disabilities in the Public Sector
This is the tenth annual report by the National Disability Authority (NDA) to the Minister on employment of people with disabilities in the public sector. The NDA has a statutory role in monitoring employment of people with disabilities in the public sector, arising from Part 5 of the Disability Act 2005.
At the end of 2015, government departments and public bodies reported that 3.6% of staff employed in the public sector are people with disabilities. This is a slight increase from 3.5% in 2014. This is the fourth successive year of small increases since first achieving the 3% target in 2011.
