Working paper on engagement with disabled persons organisations

This working paper highlights good practice in relation to engagement with Disabled Persons’ Organisations. It also uses what we learned from research and commentary from the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

This was used to make recommendations to the Departments of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth regarding the engagement and participation of persons with disabilities.

In this paper, the National Disability Authority advises the need for the development of a sustainable infrastructure to facilitate meaningful participation and engagement with people with disabilities. It also highlights what is needed to establish this infrastructure.
