These factsheets were produced as a series looking at different aspects of the lives of persons with disabilities in Ireland.
The goal of the series is to bring together up-to-date and accurate statistical information, across different themes, that may be useful to a range of stakeholders. Interested readers may include individuals with disabilities, Disabled Persons Organisations, other organisations, service providers, policy makers, researchers, and the general public.
Each factsheet consists of an infographic containing the main information and a briefing paper with background information and statistics. Data is drawn from the Census of Population 2022 carried out by the Central Statistics Office (CSO).
