Research supporting Transforming Lives

We developed an Advice Paper to the Value for Money and Policy Review of Disability Services Programme, for the Department of Health around issues of moving away from a medicalised approach to a person-centred approach and an approach that is more rooted in mainstream services.

We also reviewed how social care services for people with disabilities were provided in Scotland, England, Netherlands, New Zealand and Victoria (Australia). Read the State Reports and follow-up Synthesis Paper which summarises the learning from this research.
