The National Disability Authority (NDA) in partnership with the EU Accessibility Hub, is inviting you to an important hybrid event that showcases models of good practice on providing universally designed and accessible public services, (including employment), for everyone, regardless of age, size, ability or disability. These models of good practice will be invaluable in helping public bodies to meet their statutory obligations to provide these services.

The NDA’s new introductory e-learning module on disability equality will be launched at this event, in addition to the NDA’s Guidance to Support Non-Speaking and Minimally Speaking People to Access Public Services and our Guidance for Commissioning of Disability Training. These resources will provide public bodies with the key steps to implement models of good practice on the provision of inclusive and accessible public services.

People with disabilities will share their expertise on the importance of being able to access and use public services and the positive experiences they have had regarding same.

NDA staff will provide an overview of the importance of the NDA’s functions in monitoring the progress public bodies are making in meeting their statutory obligations to provide universally designed and accessible public services. They will also discuss our advisory role on the European Accessibility Act (2025)

There will be question and answer sessions at this event.

Irish Sign Language Interpretation and captioning will be provided.

Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided for people attending in person.

This event will be recorded and published to the NDA’s website at a later date. A GDPR form will be sent to you shortly so that you can tell us that you are happy to be recorded and for your data to be processed for this event only.
