This literature review was commissioned by the Department of Children, Disability and Equality as part of Action 81 of the Autism Innovation Strategy, and coordinated by the National Disability Authority (NDA). It examines international evidence on autism, ageing and life expectancy. The review explores patterns of mortality and health conditions among autistic adults, barriers to healthcare access, and factors influencing quality of life and wellbeing in later life.
