Our Senior Policy Advisor Marion Wilkinson is in Athlone today attending the launch of the Work & Access scheme for people with disabilities. The new scheme offers seven supports to help disabled people get or stay in work. It replaces the Reasonable Accommodation Fund and the Disability Awareness Support Scheme. The review which led to the creation of the Work and Access Scheme was informed by an NDA report on the barriers to reasonable accommodations for disabled people in employment.
