The NDA has published a review paper on Article 23 UNCRPD which focuses on respect for home and the family. This paper provides information on relevant research, legislation and policy in Ireland, with regard to relationships, family planning and parenting. This paper also examines the role of several government-funded agencies and programmes in supporting parents and children with disabilities, including in the context of child protection.
This paper provides a useful overview of Article 23 UNCRPD, which may of particular interest to anyone attending the NDA's upcoming annual conference, taking place on 16 October.
