Meelick National School students win national ‘Someone Like Me’ art competition

The winners of our annual 'Someone Like Me' art competition were announced on January 17, 2024, in a prize giving event in Dublin's City Hall. The overall national award winning entry was created by two students from 3rd and 4th class in Meelick National School in Co. Clare.

Highly Commended National Award Winners

Students from the Middle Class in Ábalta Special School in Co. Galway, and a student from 5th class in Borris National School in Co. Carlow, were the winners of our highly commended awards.

Our 'Someone Like Me' art competition is open to primary school pupils from junior infants to sixth class. Over 2,200 entries were received from individual pupils, class groups and whole schools right across Ireland. The talented participants looked at non-visible disabilities and shared their creativity and passion to promote inclusivity through art.
