Literature review of non-clinical competencies and skill mix required by interdisciplinary teams who support children with disabilities
The Health Service Executive (HSE) reformed the structure of children’s disability services to a family centred bio-psychosocial model under the auspices of Progressing Disability Services (PDS) This programme was launched in 2011, with the aim of providing equity of access to services based on need, rather than geographical location or diagnosis. The programme also works in partnership with families to optimise outcomes for children and young people with disabilities within existing resources
