The NDA highlighted the fact that disabled people in Ireland can experience poorer mental health and wellbeing outcomes. We emphasised the importance of intersectionality and a disability rights framing in the revised policy, and of ensuring alignment with other government policy processes. We made recommendations on inclusive education, supporting transitions, digital inclusion and online safety, assistive technology, and responses to behaviours of concern in educational settings. We emphasised Universal Design in Education and statutory obligations under the EU Web Accessibility Directive.
