NDA submission to the Higher Education Authority to inform the development of its Corporate Strategic Plan 2027 – 2030

The NDA acknowledged the outcomes achieved to date, such as the increase in the participation of disabled students in higher education, improvements delivered through the Programme for Access to Higher Education scheme, and increasing commitment from higher education stakeholders to the ALTITUDE Charter (a universal design framework for the tertiary sector). We made recommendations on further embedding a universal design approach, strengthening supports for disabled staff in addition to students, more engagement with disabled people, better access to assistive technology and more support for transitions from education to work.
