NDA's previous research on autism

Prior to our work on the Autism Innovation Strategy the National Disability Authority (NDA) had conducted research and developed guidance on issues related to autism. These are listed below. We acknowledge that the language used in some of these document is now slightly outdated. 

Autism and homelessness

Under our Research Promotion Scheme we funded two studies related to autism and homelessness.

• Adult Autism in Homelessness: Prevalence, Experiences and Support Needs in an Irish Context - A Mixed Methods Study

• The Experience and Risk of Homelessness for People with Intellectual Disabilities and/or Autism and their Families in Dublin. A Mixed Methods Study

Autism guidance documents

We developed guidance for various professionals to assist them in their interactions with disabled people.
